Like a good mama I have hunted down any Tarako Kewpie mascot items for her to play with. After watching the most current commercial which featured pink kewpies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78lbf4ySzA0
...she asked me if I would find her a pink tarako & the search was fruitless...but with a little inspiration & an evening of embroidery & sewing...this is what I came up with.
I'd say she's pretty happy with it!

The tarako kewpie is a combination of a fish roe & a kewpie doll... The fish roe (egg) is an ingredient in the pasta sauce & the company that makes it has a kewpie for their mascot. We stumbled across the commercials on youtube and have been hooked ever since. My babygirl thinks it's just another kid's show & she even sings along with the jingle! We have a lot of fun!
So sweet! My little girl might have to get one of those too, and such a pretty photo you took of your little one!
